| ⇨ | Honestly?!? It's probably easiest to just move the numbers in the blue boxes to the red boxes (you can tap, click or drag) and see what happens. You can also move numbers from one red box to another. The explanation of what is happening can be tricky to follow, however if you would like to see it, please continue reading: |
|---|---|
| ⇨ | The puzzle is a phrase or sentence which includes a hint word (with each letter U N D E R L I N E D) and an unknown word that is derived from the hint. There may also be a second unknown word which is derived from the first unknown. |
| ⇨ | The numbers needed to derive the unknown word(s) start off in the blue boxes, but they're not in order. Move them to the correct red boxes to solve the puzzle. |
| ⇨ | A number in a red box will transform the corresponding letter in the hint word to a new letter in the unknown word. |
| ⇨ | If there are two unknown words then the 2nd set of red boxes transforms the letters of the first unknown word to the 2nd one. |
| ⇨ | Letters have values based on their position in the alphabet: A = 1; B = 2; C = 3; .... X = 24; Y = 25; Z = 26 |
| ⇨ | Transformation changes the original letter to a new letter based on the number in the red box. A positive number moves the letter down in the alphabet and a negative number moves the letter up. |
| ⇨ | Some transformation examples: A + 3 = D; W - 6 = R; G + 13 = T; Y - 24 = A; E + 22 = Z |
| ⇨ | If you move all the correct numbers to the correct red boxes, you will create the new word(s) needed to complete the phrase or sentence and solve the puzzle. |
| ⇨ | If the new letter is less than (1=A) or more than (26=Z), you will get an exclamation point (!) as the new letter to let you know that it's wrong. |
| ⇨ | When there are 2 new unknown words: If you put a number in the red box for the second word but the same letter for the first word has not been done, you will get a question mark (?). |
| ⇨ | Want the solution? Once all the red boxes have been filled in, if your answer is wrong then a button appears below the puzzle that says "Show Me The Answer". If you tap or click that button the game will show you where the numbers need to go to reveal the answer. |
